Such an incredible night of music with performances by Wynton Marsalis, Terrence Blanchard, Catherine Russell, SF Jazz Collective, The Harlem Quartet, Isaiah Thompson, Philip Norris, Domo Branch, SF Jazz High School All Stars, and more.

Inspirational speeches by Wynton, Terrence, Wendell Pierce (actor), and others, who talked about their lives together, growing up in New Orleans, and the role that music and arts had in forming their lives, and guiding their life journey to where they are today.
Can you imagine what an incredible experience it must have been for the SF Jazz High School All Stars to rehearse and perform with Wynton Marsalis and these incredible jazz musicians!

They all discussed the incredible positive impact that SF Jazz has on Jazz in general, and specifically with young musicians through their schools and community programs. Helping young people find themselves, their purpose in life, and guiding them in a positive direction, inspiring them to help people, and the community around them, to make the world a better place for everyone.
Imagine being a high school student who plays jazz trumpet, and trading riffs with Wynton Marsalis! This talented young woman now has an amazing life experience, and a story to tell. A story that she earned through dedicated, hard work.
